Filey - Gardens & Promenades

This Trail follows a step-free route of well-maintained footpaths and pavements. The majority of the Trail is on level ground, with gradual inclines down to and up from the promenade, making it suitable for wheelchair and pushchair users.

From the finish point, there is a fairly long incline back up to the start car park. Some wheelchair users may find it easier to arrange to be picked up by car along the promenade after finishing the Trail.

Free on-street parking is sometimes available along West Avenue if you're arriving early, so look out for a spot on the way to the car park. There are seasonal public toilets in the gardens at the start of the Trail, and toilets with disabled access open all year round at either end of the promenade on the last section of the route.

Refreshments can be had in town halfway along the Trail, or down by the seafront towards the end. Alternatively, check the tide times and plan a picnic on the magnificent beach. There is one small gardens area where dogs are not allowed. However, they are very small gardens that you pop in and out of via the same entrance, so someone can easily wait outside and still have eyes on their fellow Trailers.
