We have three super duper themed Clubs for your child to enjoy as part of their Treasure Trail experience.

Perfect for 4-8 year olds, the concept behind the Clubs is that your child will get a bundle of goodies to excite them about their forthcoming Trail experience, something to keep them entertained whilst travelling to and from the Trail, and something to be given on completion of the Trail as a keepsake.

Before you set off on your awesome adventure to explore Ampthill, there are a few things you need to know...

Unfortunately, the route isn’t friendly for wheelchair users and pushchairs due to a number of hills and some uneven terrain.

Bring your four-legged friends along! Please note that while Ampthill Common is great for tracker dogs to stretch their legs, they can't go into the play area.

The closest long stay pay and display car park to the Trail start point is at Ampthill Park (MK45 2GQ), where your first clue can be cracked.

There are some fantastic events in Ampthill’s calendar, all of which are great times to visit this beautiful town. However, you may find that some of the clues on this Trail become obstructed or difficult to access on these occasions, especially during the popular festival AmpRocks, which takes place in early September on Ampthill Common. We recommend checking for events before you set off on your mission.

There are public toilets available towards Clue 14, and the route passes several pubs and a few cafes along the way. Pack a picnic to enjoy after Clue 15.

Looking for more things to do near Ampthill? Make a day of it and enjoy some post-mission relaxation in one of the many nearby nature reserves. You could even walk to (or drive to) English Heritage’s Houghton House to learn more twisting tales about the local area.
