The York and Humber Treasure Trails region consists of three defined areas; the city of York, the district of Selby and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
York is a beautiful walled city located on the River Ouse, in the centre of the Vale of York. It offers a wealth of historic attractions, of which the Gothic cathedral, York Minster, is the most prominent.

The Selby district comprises many rural villages and the historical market town of Selby. Selby is located 12 miles south of the city of York and its skyline is dominated by the 11th century Selby Abbey.
The East Riding of Yorkshire has a wide variety of attractions such as historic buildings, nature reserves and the Wolds Way long distance footpath. In the region you can experience bustling market towns, busy seaside resorts and villages and the thriving city of Hull situated on the river Humber.
